Birds on the brain: Sam is an unabashed “bird nerd.” “I’ve been fascinated by birds ever since I was little when my mom and I would stand on our back porch and look for birds in the yard,” she says. “I still go birdwatching almost every weekend. Swallow-tailed kites are my favorite to spot!”
