As a community Zoo, we encourage public involvement in all aspects of our operations. We are dependent upon and very grateful to our volunteers, who assist with everything from special events to educational programs.

We offer many exciting group project opportunities for businesses, organizations, sororities, fraternities, clubs and school groups. Possible service projects include landscaping, painting, mulching and conservation outreach. We hope you will consider us when looking for a way to give back to the community! Participants must be 14 years of age or older. Most groups should not exceed 15 participants. Large groups can be accommodated at offsite locations with enough notice.
Want to help out at the Zoo but can’t commit to a regular schedule? Assisting with special events like Cold-Blooded Weekend, Boo at the Zoo and Jazzoo is a great way for those without a lot of spare time to give. Volunteers may be greeters, bartenders, food service specialists and more!
