As a community Zoo, we encourage public involvement in all aspects of our operations. We are dependent upon and very grateful to our volunteers, who assist with everything from special events to educational programs.

There’s a lot to do at the Zoo! Would you like to be a kayak guide or an animal interpreter? Click here to take a look at all of the opportunities available to volunteers.

The next Volunteer Applicant Orientation will be on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Openings are limited and filled on a first-come basis. The orientation is followed by a scheduled interview and then a mandatory class on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for all volunteers accepted into the program. Both dates are mandatory to begin volunteering.

GROUP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

To sign up your group for a Restore Our Shores volunteer opportunity, please fill out this form and return it to restoreourshores@brevardzoo.org.

Participants must be 14 years of age or older. Most groups should not exceed 15 participants. Large groups can be accommodated at offsite locations with enough notice.
