Youth Environmental Summit: Free Virtual Event for ages 12 - 18

YOUTH ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMIT

Saturday, July 17| 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Our Zoo Teens are extremely excited and passionate about conservation!  Each year they organize a Youth Environmental Summit.  This year’s FREE event will be VIRTUAL! Their goal is to empower youth from across Florida, ages 12-18, to play an active role in conservation by providing them with information and tools. Attendees discuss environmental concerns, attend virtual workshops, and if they are local, they can participate in a hands-on field project at a later date.
Keynote Speaker: Sean Russell
The founder and director of Youth Ocean Conservation Summit at Mote Marine Laboratory, Sean has motivated countless young people to take active roles in their communities.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and individuals with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
