Brevard Zoo is nationally recognized for our education programs, which provide a variety of opportunities to spark a child’s interest in conservation, science and the outdoors.  Our summer camp programs are one-of-a-kind adventures that will take your child’s love of learning to new heights.

Ever wonder how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly? Do you know what butterflies and mosquitoes have in common? Unlock the mysteries of metamorphosis in this exciting camp!

Travel around the world exploring a variety of animals and their habitats! Discover answers to all your animal questions, from the swamp to the ocean, while meeting some creatures along the way.

How to Care for Your Dragon (July 8-12)

From dragons to jaguars, we will reveal how the Zoo cares for all our animals. Learn what it takes to keep our creatures healthy and happy with behind-the-scenes activities and animal enrichment opportunities.

Guardians of the Zooniverse (July 22-26)

Become a Guardian of the Zooniverse by protecting the wildlife of planet Earth. Take part in animal observations, identifications and hands-on activities during this action-packed week.

Ever wondered how bats sleep upside down? DId you know parrots powder themselves? Embark on an adventurous voyage through the Zoo as we answer the question whether these animal capabilities are oddities or advantages.

Are you up for a challenge? Join our race around the world to meet the animals that inhabit some amazing places! Discover where and how they live through scavenger hunts, puzzles, riddles, games and more.

Watch and learn! Observe a variety of animals’ actions to see how they survive. Learn what it takes for researchers to obtain their evidence by doing a shark tag activity, using observational tools and more.

Junior Explorers (June 17-21; July 15-19; July 29-August 2)

Calling all wildlife explorers! Through field work and close animal encounters, we will discover the great outdoors, like learning how sea turtles are cared for and tracked, articulating an animal skeleton and more.

EARTH EXPLORERS

These camps are designed to immerse teens into the natural wonders of Central and East Florida. This experience is limited to 12 explorers and includes special offsite field trips.

Extreme Science Adventures (June 3-7, 17-21; July 8-12, 22-26)

Get pumped for an exciting, action-packed week! Experience the world in a new way through a variety of exhilarating excursions focusing on science. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

Classes will be determined based on registration and age of children. If registering with siblings or friends and you wish to request to be placed in the same class, please email edregistrar@brevardzoo.org. Class assignments are not guaranteed, but every effort will be made to accommodate requests.
