Butterflies and the Magic of Nature | May 26 – September 30
Presented by Hope and Brian Fisher, our newest exhibit will feature hundreds of native Florida butterflies, baby Nubian goats, colorful birds, a massive snapping turtle, training demonstrations, hands-on nature play activities and more.
This exhibit will open Saturday, May 26 and run through Sunday, September 30. Entry is included with Zoo admission and will be open during regular hours.
Arctic Blast Tuesdays | Tuesdays in June & July | 11:30 am & 1 pm
Looking for a place to chill out this summer? Cool off at the wildest place in town during Arctic Blast Tuesdays! Every Tuesday in June and July at 11:30 am and 1 pm, we’ll drop giant ice cubes into the Paws On Play Lagoon. The ice melts quickly, so be sure to arrive on time!
Father’s Day | Sunday, June 17
In celebration of Father’s Day, we’re offering free general Zoo admission to dads accompanied by at least one paying child of any age! To take advantage of this promotion, which may not be combined with any other offer, tickets must be purchased in person on Father’s Day.
Youth Environmental Summit | Saturday, July 21 | 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
Youth ages 12 – 18 are encouraged to join our Zoo Teens for the sixth annual Summit! Meet like-minded peers for a day of fun workshops and hands-on projects. Registration for the summit is required; cost is $15 and includes lunch and an event bag. More information coming soon!
Cold-Blooded Weekend | September 1 – 3 | 10 am – 3 pm
This Labor Day weekend, join us for a “spineless spectacular” and marvel at the diversity of invertebrates! All activities included with Zoo admission. More information coming soon.
Teacher Open House | Wednesday, September 12 | 5:30 – 8 pm
Enjoy a night to mix and mingle with fellow teachers, plan great experiences for your students and win fun door prizes! Educational organizations and businesses from throughout Central Florida will be present to speak with you and provide informational handouts and freebies for your classroom and school. Registration opens August 1.
Boo at the Zoo | October 12 – 14, 19 – 21 & 26 – 28 | 5:30-9 p.m. (Fridays & Saturdays), 5:30-8 p.m. (Sundays)
Stop by the Zoo in October to experience this family-favorite Halloween activity, featuring more than 30 treat stations each weekend. Once you’ve had your fill of candy, take a ride on the Boo Choo train, rock out with our DJ, channel your creative spirit with creepy crafts and go for the gold in our costume contest!
