General Information

  • What are the operating hours?
  • Brevard Zoo is open every day of the week from 9:30 am to 5 pm. Last admission at 4:15 pm. Members can get into the Zoo early at 9 am.

    Some sections of the Zoo open late. Paws On and Lands of Change: Australia and Beyond open at 10 am.

    Sometimes the Zoo closes early for special events. We are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

    On rare occasions, the Zoo will close to accommodate large groups. Sign up for our email newsletter or “like” us on Facebook for advance notifications about these closings.

  • What are the current ticket prices?
  • A variety of ticket packages are available. See Zoo admission for information and prices of daily admission, activities, memberships and other options.

  • What special events are planned for this year?
  • Visit our events calendar for upcoming events. We add events throughout the year, so be sure to check back often.

  • What kinds of food does the Zoo serve?
  • From hamburgers and fries to salad or pizza, you’ll find food options for every taste at the Zoo. The Flamingo Café serves grilled and fried items, sandwiches, salads and soft serve ice cream. Dippin’ Dots ice cream and other snacks are sold in a nearby kiosk. Pizzas, calzones and subs are available in the Paws On Pizzeria. All locations serve Pepsi products.

    Not all venues are open every day. Call ahead or visit the administrative office for more information.

    Outside food is not permitted in the Zoo, but you may use the picnic tables outside the main entrance.

Park Information

  • Is smoking or vaping permitted in the Zoo?
  • The Zoo is a smoke-free facility. Smoking and vaping are only permitted in the parking lot.

  • Is the Zoo handicap accessible?
  • Brevard Zoo is handicap accessible. Some areas include gentle ramps or tightly compacted substrate.

  • Do you rent wheelchairs, strollers or ECVs?
  • Strollers, wheelchairs and ECVs are rented on a first-come, first-serve basis and are available at the main entrance.

  • Does Brevard Zoo have automatic tellers (ATMs)?
  • An ATM is located inside the Zoo’s entrance.

  • What happens if I lose something in the Zoo?
  • Found personal property is kept in the Zoo’s administrative office for 24 hours, then discarded. We accept no responsibility whatsoever for items left in the Zoo.

  • What happens if it rains?
  • The Zoo is open rain or shine. We do not offer refunds or rainchecks for inclement weather.

  • What should we do if our party is separated?
  • Arrange a meeting place and time should your party become separated. Feel free to approach any staff member or volunteer for assistance. We are unable to make announcements over a loudspeaker.

  • How do I re-enter the Zoo if I have to leave for some reason?
  • See a turnstile attendant for a hand stamp before leaving and present the stamp upon re-entry.

  • Does the Zoo have a dress code?
  • In keeping with our family-friendly atmosphere, and for health and safety reasons, the Zoo strictly enforces a dress code. Proper attire must be worn in the park at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear except in the water play area of Paws On. Clothing with rude, vulgar or offensive language or graphics is not permitted at any time (shirts cannot be turned inside out as a solution). Zoo admission may be denied if clothing is deemed by management to be inappropriate.

  • What is the Zoo's alcoholic beverage policy?
  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought into Brevard Zoo. Alcoholic beverages purchased in the park may not leave the premises. Excessive consumption of alcohol is cause for ejection from the park without refund. No one under age 21 is permitted to consume alcoholic beverages and proper identification is required to purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages at Brevard Zoo (one drink per customer at one time). Guests are prohibited from taking beer or wine purchased in the park out through the front gate.

    Outside alcoholic beverages may not be brought into the Zoo and alcoholic beverages purchased in the Zoo may not leave Zoo premises. Guests under 21 years of age may not purchase or consume alcohol. Proper identification is required to purchase or consume alcohol. Excessive consumption of alcohol is cause for ejection from the Zoo without refund.

  • Are pets permitted in the Zoo?
  • Pets are not permitted in the Zoo, with the exception of service animals. Service animals must be checked in at the front office.

Pricing & Admission

  • What are the current ticket prices?
  • A variety of ticket packages are available. See Zoo admission for information and prices of daily admission, activities, memberships and other options.

  • What does my general admission ticket include?
  • Your ticket includes admission into the Zoo. Certain experiences, such as animal feedings, kayak tours and train rides, require an additional fee.

  • Does my child need a ticket?
  • Children under three years of age are admitted at no charge. All guests ages three and older require a ticket.

  • Do you offer group discounts?
  • Yes, groups of 15 or more people are eligible for a general admission discount. Visit the groups page for more information.

  • How much is parking?
  • Parking is always free.

  • Do you sell gift certificates?
  • Gift certificates are not available, but you can purchase tickets and memberships for others through our online store.

  • What forms of payment are accepted?
  • We accept cash as well as Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express cards. Checks are not accepted.

  • Do you offer AAA discounts?
  • AAA members receive $2 off admission for the cardholder only. A card is required to receive this discount.

  • Do you offer military discounts?
  • Active military and veterans and their dependents all receive $2 off admission. A military ID is required to receive this discount.

  • Do you offer a Travel Agent discount?
  • No. However, group rates are available.

  • Do you offer rain checks?
  • We do not offer refunds or rainchecks for inclement weather.

Online Purchases

  • How do I renew my membership online?
  • Click here. After choosing your selected membership, follow the prompts on the screen until you are asked whether you are a previous or new passholder. You will need the Member ID number on the front of the card to complete the process. If you do not have this number, call the Zoo at 321.254.9453 x231 and a Zoo representative will tell you your membership number.

  • Will my membership card be mailed to me?
  • No, you will need to print your voucher to bring with you on your next visit to the Zoo. The screen that says “This is not a ticket” is not the voucher. Click the link on that screen to register your membership ticket and print your membership voucher.

  • Why does it say print “tickets” when I purchased a membership?
  • The same screen is used as the receipt for admission or memberships. Click the link to register your membership ticket and a voucher will appear on your screen. This needs to be printed and brought with you on your next visit to the Zoo to process your membership.

  • How do I print my tickets at home?
  • Print@Home technology allows you to print your tickets from your computer printer and use those tickets at the park. Skip the ticket booth. Go straight to the gate! You must assign the name of the ticket holder to each Print@Home ticket before printing your tickets. You will be asked to register each ticket after the purchase is complete by clicking on the Print@Home logo on the order confirmation screen. If you do not know the name of the person(s) who will use the ticket(s), please wait to print the ticket(s). For security reasons, including deterring online fraud, each guest must show photo ID at the turnstiles matching the name that is printed on the ticket. Only young children without Student ID will be allowed entry without ID.

  • Why do I have to register each Print@Home ticket?
  • For security reasons, including deterring online fraud, each guest must show photo ID at the turnstiles matching the name that is printed on the ticket. Only young children without Student ID will be allowed entry without ID.For organized groups only, tickets may be registered in the name of the group. The group leader may be asked for photo ID.

  • Can I change the registered name after a Print@Home ticket is printed?
  • It is not a problem if you have misspelled a name or need to change the name on a Print@Home ticket. Simply refer to your e-mail receipt and click the web link to the Print@Home site where you originally printed your tickets. Make the desired correction and reprint the ticket. E-commerce customer support staff are unable to the change names on tickets under any circumstances.

  • What if I cannot print my ticket(s)?
  • Please be sure to read your email receipt for complete instructions. If you have not yet assigned names and printed your tickets, refer to your email receipt for instructions (which contains a link to the ticket registration page URL).
    Please check your printer:

    1. Check to make sure your printer is plugged in, properly connected and turned on.
    2. Make sure that all color and black ink cartridges contain ink and are working properly.
    3. If you are not sure that you have ink, please print a test page such as an email or a photograph.
    4. If you are still unable to print your tickets, please go to the front office at the park on the day of your visit where they will be able to look up your order and print your tickets for you. You will need to bring the following:
      1. The credit card used to purchase these tickets.
      2. Photo ID.
      3. Your email receipt or your order confirmation number.

    If you do not have your receipt or an order confirmation number, Brevard Zoo staff will still be able to look up your order and print your tickets but you must have Photo ID and the credit card that was used to purchase these tickets.

  • What if I lose my Print@Home ticket(s)?
  • If you have lost your tickets, please reprint your tickets by following the instructions in your email receipt. If you do not have an email receipt, please go to the front office at the park on the day of your visit where they will be able to look up your order and print your tickets for you.

    You will need to bring the following:

    1. The credit card used to purchase these tickets.
    2. Photo ID.
    3. Your email receipt or your order confirmation number.

    If you do not have your receipt or an order confirmation number, Brevard Zoo staff will still be able to look up your order and print your tickets but you must have Photo ID and the credit card that was used to purchase these tickets.

  • How can I look up my receipt or reprint my Print@Home order?
  • To look up your receipt, enter the last four digits of your credit card number and your 10-digit telephone number. Once your receipt is shown, you can click the link to reprint your Print@Home order.

  • Can I pick up my order at the park?
  • A “will call” option is not available at this time. You are responsible for printing your own tickets and bringing them with you to Brevard Zoo.

  • Do tickets have an expiration date?
  • Date specific tickets are valid only on the specific dates shown. Tickets and memberships without specific dates are valid during the current operating season.

  • What is the refund policy?
  • Tickets, memberships, and all vouchers purchased on this site are non-refundable. Please be sure you have selected the correct tickets and the correct number of tickets before completing your purchase. Brevard Zoo does not offer cancellations, refunds, rain checks or exchanges.

  • What if I made a mistake when ordering items from this site?
  • Please note:
    Before you make your final purchase, carefully review your selections. We do not offer refunds for any tickets purchased online or at the gate. The ecommerce call center staff cannot process a refund under any circumstances. Our tickets are non-transferable. Tickets purchased for park special events are only accepted at the gate for the day of the event.

  • How can I contact Customer Support?
  • If you wish to speak with a customer support agent, please call 321.254.9453.

    If you receive an error messaging during your online transaction, please contact technical support. Please note that e-commerce technical support agents cannot:

    • Provide park specific information such as hours of operation.
    • Provide detailed information about the entitlements associated with tickets and passes.
    • Provide detailed information about events.
    • Help with questions about purchasing merchandise.
    • Agents cannot approve or process refunds immediately under any circumstances.

     

Tips for a Great Visit

  • Admission Values
  • The best way to visit Brevard Zoo is often — with a Brevard Zoo membership. Available online or at our front gate, get a membership and visit as often as you want for as long as you choose. One-day tickets are also available.

  • Adverse Weather Conditions/Rain
  • Brevard Zoo is open rain or shine, except in the event of a hurricane. Refunds or rain checks for inclement weather are not offered.

  • Alcoholic Beverage Policy
  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be brought on Brevard Zoo property.

  • Attendance/Best Days to Visit
  • The park is less crowded on weekdays especially Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

  • Automatic Tellers (ATMs)
  • There is one ATM located at the main entrance for your convenience. Traveler’s Checks and personal checks are accepted at Brevard Zoo. Money Orders are not accepted.

  • Credit Cards
  • We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

  • Currency Exchange
  • We do not offer a Currency Exchange.

  • Dress Code
  • In keeping with our family-friendly atmosphere, and for health and safety reasons, Brevard Zoo strictly enforces a dress code. Proper attire must be worn in the park at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear except in the water play area of Paws On. Clothing with rude, vulgar or offensive language or graphics is not permitted at any time (shirts cannot be turned inside out as a solution). Bathing suits may be worn only in the water park area. Park admission may be denied if clothing is deemed by management to be inappropriate.

  • First Aid
  • We offer first aid at the front office, Flamingo Café, and in Paws On. For assistance, ask any Brevard Zoo staff member.

  • Group Sales
  • Groups of 15 or more people are eligible for a group discount. See Group Rates.

  • Service Animals
  • Pets are not permitted in the park, with the exception of service animals. Service animals must check in at the front office.

  • Recreational Wheels (rollerskates, skateboards, etc).
  • No recreation wheels, including Heelys and other tennis shoe style roller skates are permitted at Brevard Zoo.

  • Military Discount
  • Any person with a current military id card receives $1 off admission into Brevard Zoo.

  • Re-Entering the Park
  • Guests who leave the park and plan to return must walk through the front office. Upon return to the park, the day’s receipt must be shown to the front office staff person for re-entry.

  • Weapons Policy
  • Firearms and weapons of any kind are not permitted on Zoo grounds.
