These kids are a handful!

Two Nubian goat kids have joined our Zoo family! Violet, a black and white goat, was born on March 17 in Melbourne, and Lilly, a tan and white goat, was born on April 2 in Monticello. You’ll be able to watch this playful twosome grow as part of Butterflies and the Magic of Nature, opening on Saturday, May 26.

Nubian goats are beloved for their floppy ears and gregarious nature. They were bred for their ability to produce milk ideal for yogurt, cheese and even soap!

When the exhibit closes in the fall, Violet and Lilly will become residents of the Paws On Petting Zone.
