Brevard Zoo’s Expedition Africa loop will soon be undergoing a massive makeover to make it even better – and feature our lion brothers! Due to this construction project, this are will be closed from August 7 to September 25.

We are saddened to share that two older longtime residents of our Zoo have passed away in the last week. We made the difficult decision to euthanize Wonton the Reeves muntjac and Saga the African rock python to prevent future suffering for both as they dealt with separate health-related issues.  

Six-year-old Baird’s tapir Antonio is back on the mend thanks to the watchful eye and hard work of our animal care staff.
