At East Coast Zoological Foundation, we answer the call to help wildlife and their natural habitats, and more than a decade ago, that meant establishing our Restore Our Shores program to begin restoring the Indian River Lagoon, an incredibly important local natural resource.

You joined us in wanting to reverse the decades of pollution that resulted in algae blooms and seagrass die offs in the Indian River Lagoon by voting into place the Save Our Indian River Lagoon (SOIRL) Half-Cent Sales Tax. This decision has supported the investment in science-based projects to reduce pollution, improve water quality, restore natural ecosystems, and more.

We are just now seeing the results of this decision as seagrass growth increases and wildlife begin to return back to their native habitats.

We want to continue this restoration work in the hopes that generations will be able to enjoy clean water and a healthy environment. Your support of the Save Our Indian River Lagoon Half-Cent Sales Tax this Election Day ensures the work – and the results – continue unimpeded. Early voting is being held from Oct. 19-31, with Election Day on Nov. 3.
