We’ve introduced a new grant offering aimed at helping to grow and develop conservation-based organizations by supporting operational costs essential for fieldwork. Our East Coast Zoological Foundation (ECZF) has launched the Growth, Engagement and Resources (GEAR) grant to address the financial challenges organizations face when their needs fall outside large-scale project-based funding. 

We recently said goodbye to Biggie the capybara, a lifelong resident of Brevard Zoo.

We’re saddened to share that our 24-year-old squirrel monkey, Bruiser, was humanely euthanized due to a decline in his condition and a poor prognosis for his quality of life.

2025 was a year of major acceleration toward bringing Bowen Aquarium to life. From hitting campaign milestones to finalizing construction designs, there’s a lot to celebrate.  

We are heartbroken to share that one of our beloved Linne’s two-toed sloths, 7-year-old Lorenzo, was humanely euthanized due to a critical decline in condition.
