Thank you to everyone who voted in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice awards. Your support helped our Zoo be named the No. 4 zoo in North America! 

As a Zoo built by the community, we appreciate your help throughout the years – especially your recent votes in this nationwide contest. It’s always wonderful for our work in animal wellness, conservation and education to be recognized.  

A panel of experts worked with 10Best’s editorial team to choose the nominees for each category and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. 

This is the third year our Zoo was nominated as the best Zoo in North America. In 2020, we took fifth place overall and last year, we took sixth place overall. 

Our kayaking tour was also nominated in the 10Best awards this year, although it was not in the final 10. If you’ve never experienced either of our kayaking experiences, we can’t recommend it enough! You can get a unique view of our Expedition Africa area through a guided tour or go on your kayak adventure through our wetlands area.
