Thank you to everyone who voted in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice awards. Your support helped our Zoo be named the No. 3 zoo in North America! Our kayaking experiences were also named the No. 7 zoo exhibit in North America by these awards!

Our inclusion in the top three – a first since we began being nominated for these awards four years ago – is a testament to the incredible support our Zoo has been shown by our community since the start. We appreciate the vote of confidence in our work in animal wellness, conservation and education.

A panel of experts worked with 10Best’s editorial team to choose the nominees for each category and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.

This was the first year our kayaking experiences were voted to the top 10 list for zoo exhibits! Guests can take guided kayaking tour around some of our Africa habitats or go on their own adventure in our wetlands area.

We will wear this hat with pride knowing it is you – members of our community – who allow us to continue our critical work in animal wellness, conservation and education. We are proud to be No. 3!
