Happy birthday, Masaya! Today, we’re talking about what it takes to care for Masaya during her older years.

We have some new faces swinging into the spotlight! In the next couple of weeks, we will be welcoming a breeding group of three black and white colobus monkeys as part of the Association of Zoos and Aquarium’s (AZA) Species Survival Plan (SSP).

Nine Gulf Coast box turtles have found a safe home at our Zoo after being rescued by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services (USFWS) from wildlife trafficking.

Our teams are on the cutting edge of research when it comes to Halodule wrightii, the primary species used for seagrass restoration in the lagoon. While Halodule wrightii is historically one of the most abundant species in the lagoon, its reproductive capabilities and life cycle are not fully understood.
