Today, Brevard Zoo was named the No. 5 zoo in the United States by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards. In addition, the Zoo’s membership program was named the No. 4 membership program. 

A panel of experts worked with 10Best’s editorial team to choose the nominees for each category and the top 10 winners will be determined by popular vote.  

This was the seventh year in a row that Brevard Zoo was nominated as one of the best zoos in the United States by these awards.  

Opening its doors in 1994, Brevard Zoo was constructed by the community as a place to reconnect with wildlife. Over the last 30 years, the Zoo has built on that start to become a force for animal wellbeing, conservation and education.
