Pride Week

JUNE 5–11

We’re celebrating Pride Week at the Zoo, and we want you to join us! This week-long celebration of our LGBTQ+ team and community members will include themed spirit days, informative activities and rainbow animal enrichment. If you’re visiting the Zoo during Pride Week, you’re invited to participate in our spirit week celebration!

Sunday, June 5: Red Ribbon Day; wear red for AIDS awareness!
Monday, June 6: Crazy Hair and Sock Day; dress up your hair or feet!
Tuesday, June 7: Zoo Spirit Day; dress as your favorite animal!
Wednesday, June 8: Team Spirit Day; wear your favorite team shirt or jersey or dress up as a group!
Thursday, June 9: PRIDE Shirts Day; Zoo staff wears matching T-shirts and the community can dress in rainbow colors or however they please!
Friday, June 10: Flashback Friday; grab garb from your favorite decade!
Saturday, June 11: Rainbow Day; put on your most colorful outfit!

Pride Week is an initiative by the Zoo’s employee-driven diversity, equity, accessibility and inclusion (DEAI) committee. The DEAI group is committed to creating positive change at the Zoo and in our community.

We hope you can join in on the fun, and we look forward to hosting more DEAI celebrations in the future. Stay tuned!
