BREVARD ZOO VISITOR GUIDELINES

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By visiting Brevard Zoo, you are voluntarily assuming all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

The guidelines listed below are TEMPORARY and will be lifted once it is safe to do so. Changes can occur at any time.

Please note:

  • To ensure the safety of our staff, guests and animals, we have implemented many changes to the Zoo experience
  • To ensure proper social distancing, we have limited the number of guests visiting the Zoo each day

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU

Timed-Entry Tickets
You cannot show up at the Zoo without a timed-entry ticket. If you show up without a ticket, entry will be contingent on availability.

Mask or Other Facial Covering

All adults and children ages seven years of age and older must have a facial covering or mask that covers the nose and mouth to enter the Zoo. Inside the park, you must continue to wear your mask at all times, either around your neck, off your ear or in your hand. Do not put your mask in your pocket, purse or stroller. If you can practice social distancing from other guests, you do not need to cover your nose and mouth with your mask. But when you can’t social distance, respect other guests and cover your mouth and nose with your mask. Be prepared for MASK ZONE areas. You will be required to wear your mask in these areas. The safety of our animals, staff, volunteers and other guests is important. Thank you for understanding.

Refillable Water Bottles
Our drinking fountains are closed for the safety of our guests. Refillable water bottle stations are located near the Wonders of the Wild gift shop in the front of the Zoo and by the restrooms at Nourish 321. You can purchase single-use water bottles at our food and beverage venues.

Credit Cards
If you plan to experience a paid activity, rent a stroller or make other transactions in the Zoo, please note that we are not accepting cash at this time. We require a $4 minimum for every credit card purchase. Vending machines are available to purchase drinks and do take cash.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE

  1. If you arrive before the scheduled entrance time, your party will have to wait in your vehicle. Please ensure that you have everything with you before entering the Zoo.
  2. There is a one-way path throughout the Zoo’s loops. Guests will be allowed to spend time at an exhibit, but please maintain social distancing.
  3. Food is available for purchase at Nourish 321, but hours are currently limited to 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you’d like, you can place an order online and avoid standing in line.
  4. Paws On water play is now open. For the safety of our staff and guests, this area is available in a limited capacity for families to ensure social distancing. Further, depending on daily attendance, this area may require a timed ticket available in 30-minute increments. Timed ticketing can be picked up after you arrive at the Zoo in Paws On.
  5. The Petting Zone is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at this time. This area is available in a limited capacity to ensure social distancing, and it is requested at this time to not pet the animals. Thank you for your understanding.
