Calling all aspiring herpetologists and adventurous families! Are you ready to embark on a wild journey through our zoo to uncover the hidden treasures of the amphibian world? In 2022, we welcomed a special group of guests: the frosted flatwood salamanders! These tiny treasures are facing a big challenge—extinction. Our Zoo staff will be your guides through the enchanting world of these amazing amphibians. Discover their secrets, learn about their habitat, and find out how we’re leading the charge to keep them thriving.
Participate in our Great Salamander Search! Most salamanders are secretive animals, hiding under logs, in caves, and in between rocks. You will have to think like a biologist and look for salamanders where they like the hide. We will be hiding some colorful North American salamanders around the Zoo for families to find! Each salamander will have a letter for a codeword that will earn participants their 2024 Salamander Saturday button!

REFUND POLICY
- No refunds will be issued once a ticket is purchased.
- No refunds or rain checks will be issued due to inclement weather. The Zoo is an outdoor facility with little indoor space. Please plan your trip to the Zoo accordingly based upon the anticipated weather conditions for that day.
- No refunds will be issued to anyone removed from the Zoo for failure to follow the Rules of the Wild.
