A spirited flame of innovation, enhancement and giving has fueled the Zoo since its inception. The Cindy Oppenheimer Bishop Celebration Garden is a new venue that represents this energy by taking guests on a literal and figurative journey through the Zoo. A lush trail winds past recognition “pods” acknowledging the extraordinary contributions of our supporters in unique ways. The experience culminates with a spectacular view of the Zoo’s flamingo flamboyance as colorful koi frolic in the water below.
This venue centralizes within one location the gratitude we wish to express to our major donors and supporters. It will also be a place where both memorial and celebratory recognition will be expressed through engraved “leaves” on trees to be placed on either side of the path.
All of these elements will come together over the next few months as we witness and rejoice in the installation of each new piece. If you would like to be a part of the Celebration Garden, contact individual giving manager Sherri Law at slaw@brevardzoo.org.
The Celebration Garden was made possible by the generosity of Cindy and Dr. Larry Bishop. The bonsai trees on display are lovingly and artfully maintained by Bonsai Society of Brevard.
