Brevard Zoo is proud to offer grants to conservation organizations through its Quarters for Conservation and Wildlife Emergency Fund programs. Please carefully review the criteria below to determine which grant best suits your project.

QUARTERS FOR CONSERVATION (Q4C)

Projects considered for Q4C must be:

• based outside of the United States
• a non-profit wildlife conservation organization seeking up to $25,000
• able to provide informal monthly updates and final final report within a year of receiving funds
• not part of a graduate student research project

Brevard Zoo seeks holistic projects that incorporate the community, education and wildlife conservation.

Priority consideration will be given to projects with the following criteria:

• projects based in Latin America and the Caribbean
• projects located in ecosystems with high biodiversity
• projects that engage and/or benefit local communities
• projects that address a significant conservation need
• projects that can be completed in one year

WILDLIFE EMERGENCY FUND (WEF)

Please note: This grant is currently not available. 

The Brevard Zoo Wildlife Emergency Fund (WEF) is a small grant program that provides emergency funding to address severe, specific and time-sensitive threats to wildlife. Emergency funding is focused on saving wildlife impacted by unforeseen natural or man-made catastrophes. Research and awareness/outreach/education programs will not be considered for WEF. Support is intended for short-term emergency action.

Brevard Zoo only supports established non-profit conservation and research organizations. WEF provides support up to $2,500 and funding can be used for operational support during times of crisis.

The Brevard Zoo WEF is made possible by the fundraising efforts of Brevard Zoo staff and volunteers. The ability to fulfill emergency requests is dependent upon the availability of these variable funds. As a result, only a limited number of requests are supported annually.
