The following items and activities are prohibited in the Zoo:
If you wish to capture photos, videos or interviews for commercial purposes, please obtain consent from the Zoo’s marketing department prior to collecting media.
By entering the Zoo, you consent to being photographed and filmed for promotional purposes.
Personal property left at the Zoo will be kept in lost and found for 24 hours, then discarded. The Zoo accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items.
No loitering or solicitation on Zoo property, including the parking areas, without prior Zoo approval.
The Zoo is open rain or shine and the vast majority of our experiences are outdoors. During severe weather, some animals will go off exhibit and certain activities may close; these activities typically reopen 30 minutes after the last clap of thunder is heard. Refunds and rain checks are not offered for inclement weather.
We encourage you to establish a meeting place in case your group becomes separated. Instruct children to contact the nearest Zoo employee for assistance.
Every public area of the Zoo is accessible by wheelchair, ECV and stroller. Please note that there are slight ramps in some areas and mulch substrate may be used for temporary exhibits. Attractions such as kayaking, paddle boats and Treetop Trek cannot accommodate wheeled devices.
Wheelchair and stroller rentals (these prices do not include tax)
We believe everyone has the right to experience the Zoo and the great outdoors, regardless of their ability. Click here to learn about sensory bag rentals, the Exceptional Nature Space and other programs for individuals with exceptional needs.
Outside food and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the Zoo. One non-alcoholic beverage is permitted per guest, but lids and straws must be removed prior to entry (lids may remain on hot beverages). Coolers may not be brought inside the Zoo.
We offer several dining options for you and your family to enjoy. The Flamingo Café, located between Australasia and Wild Florida, serves grilled and fried items, sandwiches, salads and soft serve ice cream. A kiosk adjacent to the Café offers Dippin’ Dots ice cream, snacks and beverages. Pizza, subs and ice cream novelties are available at the Paws On Pizzeria. The Café and Pizzeria are open daily 10 am – 4 pm, subject to change.
