Paint and Learn Art Classes

JUNE | 10:30-11:30 AM & 12:30-1:30 PM

Harness your artistic talent and learn to paint from the best with Cocoa Beach artist, Kole Trent. He will be with us throughout the month of June hosting art classes for children ages 5 to 15 in the Nyami Nyami River Lodge. This is a guided step by step class that will allow students to follow along learning different applications and techniques to accomplish a painting of their own.

Registration is open to children ages 5 to 15. The 60-minute classes are available from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. each day that is offered. Space is limited per class and cost is $35 per person per class. This includes the one-hour painting class as well as all art supplies like paint, canvas, brushes, etc. Zoo admission is not included. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent. There is no cost to the parent to be present.

Dates:
June 6
Under the Sea – This class will have an under the sea theme including a sea turtle and coral reef to help bring awareness to our coastline.

June 13 (only a 10:30 a.m. class)
Manatee Landing – This class will be a lagoon theme including manatees and mangroves to help bring awareness to our rivers.

June 21
Jelly Friends – This class will be an underwater theme with two colorful jellyfish to celebrate friendship and community with guest artist, Lyssa Wyn. Kole Trent is not available to teach on this date.

June 27
Flying Florida – This class will be a lagoon theme including flamingo and other flying birds of Florida.

There will be a water dispenser and students should plan to bring their own reusable water bottle. No snacks or other beverages will be provided.

About the Artists:
Kole Trent
Specializes in his own genre of aquatic/land-based animals floating in the depths of outer space. From canvas work with acrylics to a master muralist, Trent can do it all. His work is also interactive with special glasses that come with each piece. www.trentartgallery.com

Lyssa Wyn
Specializes in landscapes, water scenes, sea and wildlife, and lighting. She is a lover of all things nature. Her style is realistic with a slightly over-saturated feel as she is passionate about color and its effect on the psyche—art realism with a dream-like quality. www.barefootanddoodles.art
