We believe everyone has the right to experience the Zoo and the great outdoors, regardless of ability. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing an accessible experience for all our guests. We created our Exceptional Nature Space, a unique, behind-the-scenes natural play area that offers an authentic outdoor experience. This modified natural habitat is safe, stimulating and designed to adapt to the unique needs of children with various exceptionalities. Within this thoughtfully curated space, kids can freely explore an authentic Florida habitat, engage in open-ended nature play, experiment, socialize and learn by doing. As a pioneering “living laboratory,” we continuously improve through feedback from parents, staff and children. Amenities include loose parts for building, mud paint and a mud kitchen.
