Cheetah

Cheetah Acinonyx jubatus

Catch them if you can! The cheetah is one of the fastest mammals, capable of running at speeds over 50 miles per hour!

Why is Pepper the cheetah in our Rainforest Revealed loop? Great question! Pepper’s old home in Expedition Africa will become our permanent lion habitat once construction is completed. Her new habitat in our Latin American section of the Zoo perfectly suited her needs as a geriatric animal, and she’s settling in great!
