Join us for our beloved daytime trick-or-treating experience, Boo at the Zoo. Then, when the sun goes down, you won’t want to miss Beware the Night.

Introducing: Beware the Night!

Select Nights in September and October | 6 – 10 PM

See the Zoo transform into a spooky playground filled with eerie lights, mysterious sounds and hauntingly fun surprises. Stroll through dimly lit pathways lined with glowing jack-o-lanterns, foggy forests and larger-than-life displays.

Beware the Night is family-friendly and intended for all ages. Some locations of the park may be spookier than others as you encounter dark and atmospheric areas of the event.

Every Friday and Saturday in October, we turn up the scares with River’s Revenge! This is an optional thrill experience on a behind the scenes trail complete with jump scares, mazes and creatures. This experience is included as part of your ticket purchase on these nights and is recommended for ages 13 and up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy a Zoo admission ticket?

For Boo at the Zoo: Yes, activities are included with general Zoo admission.

For Beware the Night: No, this is a separate event from the Zoo and occurs at night outside of normal Zoo operating hours. You must purchase a ticket to Beware the Night to experience this nighttime event.

Can I wear a costume?

Costumes are encouraged and should be family-friendly. Offensive, excessively scary, or overly revealing costumes are not permitted, and guests wearing them may be asked to leave without a refund. For everyone’s safety, masks are not permitted for guests ages 13 and older. Masks worn by younger guests must be easily removable and may need to be taken off when requested. Real or replica weapons are not permitted on Zoo property. For the best experience, choose a costume that allows for comfortable walking and easy navigation through dark, uneven terrain.

What is River's Revenge and is it included with my ticket to Beware the Night?

Tickets for Fridays and Saturdays in October also include optional access to River’s Revenge, a scary trail experience recommended for guests ages 13 and older. It may include intense scares, dark environments, loud noises, fog, flashing lights and startling effects.

Guests participating in River’s Revenge must first check in at the main entrance to receive a handstamp before heading to Gate 3 in the Zoo’s North Parking Lot. River’s Revenge opens at 7 PM, with final admission at 9 PM. Participation is optional. No refunds, partial refunds, exchanges, discounts or rain checks will be provided when a guest chooses not to participate. This experience is is available only on Fridays and Saturdays in October and cannot be added to tickets for other dates.

Are group tickets available?

Yes, Groups of 15 or more may receive a discount. We also have a limited number of nights available for private events and buyouts. For group tickets or company parties, please contact egracie@brevardzoo.org.

What if it rains?

These events are held rain or shine. No refunds or date exchanges are allowed.

Will I see animals?

We recommend visiting during daytime Boo at the Zoo to have the best opportunity to view our animals.

Beware the Night is not focused on seeing our animals, though you may be able to spot some of them as you make your way through the Zoo. Many animals may not be visible or may not be on exhibit during the event.

When is the last time I can enter Beware the Night?

The last admission for Beware the Night is at 9 PM. No exceptions.

Will there be food?

A special menu of food and beverages curated for this event will be available for purchase.

Can I purchase tickets at the ticket window or over the phone?

Boo at the Zoo is included with daytime Zoo admission. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticketing window.

Beware the Night tickets can be purchased online only.

If I am a Zoo member, can I come in for free?

Beware the Night is an event that takes place outside of normal Zoo operating hours, and therefore, not included in your member benefits. There is no membership discount offered with early bird pricing.

Do I need to show up on my selected day?

To help us manage capacity and ensure a positive experience for all guests, tickets are date specific and can only be redeemed on the date indicated. Please call the Zoo at (321) 254-9453 to inquire about the possibility of rebooking if needed.

Can I leave and re-enter Beware the Night?

No re-entry is allowed for Beware the Night, unless moving between the main event and River’s Revenge on Friday and Saturday nights in October.

You will receive a handstamp issued at check-in that allows you to enter the haunt and return to main event area afterward if time allows.
