Give to the Future of Restore Our Shores

March 16 - April 30

For more than a decade, Restore Our Shores has been making a measurable impact on the Indian River Lagoon and Florida’s east coast.

Through living shoreline projects, volunteer mobilization and hands-on restoration, this program has helped combat environmental pressures that threaten water quality, wildlife and our coastal communities. With community support, habitats have been restored, waterways protected and resilient shorelines built for the future.

And now, the work is growing.

As Restore Our Shores expands to meet increasing needs along the lagoon, one challenge has become clear: the team has outgrown its current space. Limited storage, training areas, and operational capacity constrain the amount of shoreline that can be restored each year.

In 2025, East Coast Zoological Foundation secured a dedicated building for Restore Our Shores, which is a critical step toward strengthening and scaling this work. With essential renovations, this facility will become a hub for shoreline restoration, volunteer engagement and long-term conservation impact.
