During this multi-day experience, campers will have the opportunity for hands-on practice in various aspects of veterinary science and the care of zoo residents including animal anatomy, nutrition and the profession of veterinary medicine.

Come learn what it takes each day to care for our 800+ animal residents. Meet the Zoo professionals and the animals under their care while getting a special behind-the-scenes look into life at Brevard Zoo.

Field Research: Animal Behavior – Overnight Program
June 25-26 | 1 PM – 11 AM | Overnight
Interested in getting the inside-scoop behind animal behavior, physiology and ecology? During this two-day, intensive overnight experience, campers will have the unique opportunity to work with professionals to hone their research skills, including their ability to observe animal behavior, interpret data and design challenges. Discover how we utilize research to provide better care for our animals at the Zoo and become better stewards of our global ecosystem.

Field Skills: Saving Florida – Overnight Program
July 9-10 | 1 PM – 11 AM | Overnight
Passionate about protecting the environment? This camp offers a unique opportunity to learn from our experts about the tremendous work being done to care for the environment locally and around the world. During this two-day, overnight experience, campers will be fully immersed in the world of fieldwork, conservation and ecology.
