Zoo to You

Zoo to You has been refreshed to offer dynamic educational and feature interactive activities, biofacts and conservation-focused content. Live ambassador animals are not included in Zoo to You programs.

Programs use curricula aligned with Florida Standards for grades K–12, offering a 30- to 45-minute experience.

• $125 for the first program
• $40 for each additional program on the same day

To request a reservation for a Zoo to You Program please contact the Education Registrar at edregistrar@brevardzoo.org or 321.254.9453 x219. All requests must be made more than 3 weeks before the date(s) requested. Reservations require a minimum of 15 people.

Backyard Buddies (30 minutes)

This program introduces children to Florida native animals through engaging storytelling and puppetry experiences. Children explore hands-on learning opportunities while discovering unique animal facts and how these amazing creatures adapt to thrive within Florida’s ecosystems. This playful program encourages curiosity, connection to nature and a deeper appreciation for the wildlife living right in our own backyards.

Planting

Powerful Plants (45 minutes)

This hands-on investigation challenges students to use their powers of observation and scientific tools to explore the basics of botany. What are plants? What do they need to survive? And how do they impact our lives every day?

Grades 3-6

Neutral Buoyancy EDC (45 minutes)

In this team engineering design challenge, students will discover how biomimicry inspires technology as they construct and test a device that swims like a fish. After calculating the mass and volume of their container to determine its density relative to water, they will adjust its mass to design a solution that is neutrally buoyant.
