White-Tailed Deer Odocoileus virginianus

The White-tailed deer is a medium-sized deer that sports a brown or reddish-brown coat in the summer that then changes to a grayish brown coat in the winter. They are skittish animals that wave their tails (showing the white underside) when running away.
