Brevard Zoo welcomes you to take part in its Zoo Volunteer Program. As a community Zoo, we encourage public involvement designed to aid the Zoo in all aspects of operation. As a non-profit organization, we are dependent upon and very grateful to our volunteers, who help with everything from special events to educational programs.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Brevard Zoo. To learn more about the types of volunteer opportunities available, please CLICK HERE.
All applicants to the Adult Volunteer Program are required to attend an Applicant Orientation Session which are held only three or four times each year. They will then schedule an interview to be conducted during the two weeks following the orientation. If accepted into the Volunteer Program, the new volunteers must attend mandatory classes before they may volunteer.
The next Orientation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015. The mandatory training classes are scheduled for Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12. If attendance is not possible, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 321.254.9453 ext. 440. Please check this page for updated information prior to attending. Your application will be held for four months. Please do not reapply during that period.
PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION PRIOR TO ATTENDANCE.
You must be 16 years or older to apply. For ages 13 to 16, please see the Zoo Teen Volunteer Program HERE.
GROUP VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Brevard Zoo welcomes the opportunity to work with local businesses to plan an employee volunteer day. Whether it's landscaping, light maintenance, or cleaning storage units the volunteer experience is always more fun when it's done at the Zoo. To arrange a time for your employees to give back to the community by helping the Brevard Zoo, contact Jean Galvin, the Director of Volunteer Programs at 321.254.9453 ext. 218 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
