There’s no better way to cool down than with ice!

Summer is coming, and it’s an exciting time to be at the Zoo. Whether it’s swimming with giant ice blocks, saying hello our Florida black bear or taking advantage of summer savings, there’s something for everyone!

ARCTIC BLAST TUESDAYS

We know that summer heat is real in Florida, so we’re helping you—quite literally—cool off. Every Tuesday in June and July at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., multiple 300-pound ice blocks will be placed in the Paws On play lagoon! This activity is included with Zoo admission.

COLLEGE STUDENT SAVINGS AT TREETOP TREK

Zip through the trees for less! With a valid ID, college students can make the most of their summer break by taking advantage of savings on select Treetop Trek courses. Between June 1 and August 30, the attraction will offer 30% off the Canopy Walk, Challenge Reloaded, Black Diamond and Zip Only courses!

FATHER’S DAY

Calling all dads! On Sunday, June 16, fathers accompanied by at least one paying child of any age will receive free admission to the Zoo. Dads can also take advantage of 30% off the Canopy Walk, Challenge Reloaded and Zip Only courses at Treetop Trek on Father’s Day.

MEET CHEYENNE

What better way to spend your summer vacation than getting an up-close view at our majestic Florida black bear, Cheyenne? Come see her romp around in her brand-new habitat, learn about how you can help protect her species and get the chance to come nose-to-snout with this beautiful bear!

SCULPTURE SAFARI

Test your skills with our Zoo-wide scavenger hunt! Spend your summer scouting out all 16 of our life-sized metal animal sculptures, including elephants, giraffe, lions and more. The sculptures, which were made from recycled materials by a group of young artists in Kenya, are scattered around Zoo grounds. Try to find them all!

SUMMER CAMPS

Nothing screams summer like camp! Schoolchildren of all ages are invited to spend their time off doing hands-on activities, learning about their favorite animals and participating in conservation projects. Click here to register.

YOUTH ENVIRONMENTAL SUMMIT

Want to learn a little more about conservation this summer? On Saturday, July 27, youth ages 12–18 are invited to join like-minded peers for a day of fun at the Youth Environmental Summit! This event includes speakers, interactive workshops, lunch and an event bag.

What better way to spend your time off than exploring animals, learning about conservation or creating your own adventure? You are not going to want to miss summertime at the Zoo!
