#GivingZOOday is about the impact zoos and aquariums have on their communities by engaging visitors to be stewards of the environment and saving species from extinction. It’s also about how these institutions give back by mentoring their staff and volunteers to support a wide range of causes.
As a not-for-profit organization that receives no regular public funding, we rely largely on the generosity of private donors. Click here to support your Zoo!

“I support our Brevard Zoo because it gives back to our community in so many ways. From local conservation efforts to international partnerships, the staff and volunteers give tirelessly to promote education and environmental awareness allowing us to better connect with our world.”
“I give to the Zoo because I’ve been a member of this community for decades. I’ve had the privilege of watching it grow from humble beginnings to the conservation and education hub it is today. It offers unparalleled opportunities for children to connect with wildlife, inspiring compassion and caring for local and global ecosystems.”
“My late husband and I were most fortunate to be among the original founders of Brevard Zoo. I give because every person I have met at the Zoo, from the director to the caring keepers to the generous volunteers, has been so enthusiastic about how far the Zoo has come and what is in store for the future. They are all incredibly proud of the wonderful animals and exhibits, the work toward animal conservation around the world, the many educational programs and the local community involvement.”
