Admission notes: Hudson West was found washed up on the beach covered in barnacles. He was quite dehydrated when he came in!

August 16, 2018: Hudson West is back in the ocean!

August 15, 2018: Help us bid Hudson West farewell on Thursday, August 16 at 4:30 p.m. at Hightower Beach Park in Satellite Beach!

August 10, 2018: Hudson’s bloodwork was almost good enough for release. We are retesting next week and hoping for a green light from our veterinary staff.

July 30, 2018: Hudson was moved to a larger tank and loves the extra space! As soon as blood results are reviewed, we can determine whether or not we can clear him for release.

July 23, 2018: We finally PIT tagged Hudson and are waiting another blood work to determine if he’s ready for release.

July 9, 2018: This happy turtle loves to eat and play with his toys!

July 2, 2018: Hudson West is still eating plenty! He recently discovered the PVC enrichment toys placed in his tank and loves to scratch on them.

June 25, 2018: We’re lucky this one didn’t float when we put him in water and he started eating from the bottom right away! His blood work is decent for a dehydrated turtle and we’re working on getting the barnacles off of him, but we’re hoping this guy will have a quick turnaround!
