Admission notes: Happy arrived on January 22 with an infection on the plastron (bottom of the shell) and overall debilitation. This turtle is being treated with antibiotics, fluid therapy and honey to heal the wounds on the plastron.

UPDATES

January 29, 2019: This turtle had abundant amounts of necrotic tissue on their plastron and Happy’s blood cultures came back positive for an infection of Aeromonas sobria, which is common in aquatic environments. Unfortunately, this turtle has passed.
