Admission notes: This turtle was admitted to us with a fractured front flipper, old healed fracture to the plastron, lethargic and covered in mud and large barnacles.
July 15, 2019: Don King came out for their pre-release workup! They received pit tags and flipper tags and release is in this turtle’s near future!
July 5, 2019: This turtle comes out next week for (hopefully) their pre-release workup!
June 21, 2019: Don King came out for their monthly workup and came off their medications!
June 13, 2019: This turtle is still stealing food from their tankmate! Don King continues to do wonderful.
June 7, 2019: This turtle is looking great. They were found stealing food from their tank mate, Jetty, from between the barriers.
May 24, 2019: Don King is quite the aggressive eater. Between them and their tank mate, Kona, lettuce has no chance of lasting long!
May 17, 2019: This turtle decided that they like their lettuce and finally started munching on that!
May 9, 2019: Don King is a great eater, even though they don’t like their lettuce.
April 24, 2019: This turtle continues to heal and thrive.
April 12, 2019: Don King prefers to eat only algae at this time. We continue to monitor this turtle’s broken left front flipper.
April 4, 2019: Radiographs showed an older fracture of the humerus on this turtle.
