Brevard Zoo Gator Encounter
Go behind-the-scenes of the Wild Florida loop to meet one of the Zoo’s most mysterious and powerful animals: the American alligator. Participate in a training session while you learn more about these local legends and how you can be an alligator ally.
• Encounters run from May – October, depending on the temperature. Offered Sundays and Thursdays at 11 AM.
• Each experience lasts 20 – 30 minutes.
• Open to guests ages 7 and up; guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult.
• Only four spaces are available per tour. Please be advised that if your party size is less than four, other guests may join the experience.
Zoo admission is not included and is required to participate.
Please note:
Because some animal experiences are behind-the-scenes, portions of the route may be composed of loose, sandy soil and narrow pathways. For your safety, we recommend close-toed shoes be worn on our encounters.
Additionally, not all areas are wheelchair accessible and some encounters may require participants to kneel or sit on a low bench without assistance. To ensure we provide appropriate accommodations, guests are encouraged to contact deptguestservices@brevardzoo.org before booking.
