Please be advised that on April 25 the Expedition Africa loop will close at 2 p.m. to prepare for our annual fundraising gala, Safari Under the Stars. The remainder of the Zoo will close at 3 p.m. Last general admission is at 2:15 p.m. and last member admission is at 2:30 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Safari Under the Stars
One of Brevard’s premiere and most highly-anticipated events, Safari Under the Stars, presented by Holiday Builders, is fast approaching! This year's event guarantees to be an experience of the senses which will not only provide guests with culinary treats and tantalizing libations but also, signature entertainment, exciting auctions and after-dinner merrymaking at Safari After Dark!

Looking for a place to chill out this summer? Come cool off at the wildest place in town during Arctic Blast Tuesdays. Every Tuesday in June and July at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., we will drop giant ice cubes into the Paws On play lagoon. The ice will melt quickly so be sure to come on time to experience this one of a kind arctic blast on a hot Florida day!
Summer Saturday Nights

Summer days bring hot weather so why not come beat the heat and enjoy the Zoo at night during Summer Saturday Nights? Join us every Saturday night in June and July as the Zoo stays open until 9 p.m. There will be rockin' musical entertainment from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and a special animal encounter at 7 p.m. Most of our Zoo animals are on exhibit until dusk, but some animals go in for the night. Come hang out at the wildest place in town this summer!

Celebrate the world of cold-blooded animals during this annual Labor Day Weekend event.

Enjoy a spooktacular evening filled with music, creepy crafts, terror-rific entertainment, themed areas with fun Halloween activities and trick-or-treating at treat stations sponsored by local businesses and organizations. Coming back this year is our costume contest so dress to impress! It promises to be a fang-tastic time.

Don’t miss the most exciting, vibrant and energized event of the year! The 6th Annual Jazzoo will be an unforgettable night featuring 5 live bands, extraordinary food from the area’s best restaurants and caterers and multiple open bars serving liquor, beer and wine. With acclaimed jazz recording artist, Jackiem Joyner, returning this year, plus bands representing country, surf rock, top hits and classics, this event is sure to light up the night!

Meet Chompers, a 10-foot shark, and Octavia, a 9-foot octopus, and then watch as giant anemone reef comes to life. We aren’t expanding our aquarium or getting new marine animals. These are just three of the 10 larger-than-life, hand-crafted art sculptures coming to the Zoo for a limited time, November 8 to May 3. Washed Ashore Project features astonishing art installations made exclusively from marine debris that will open your eyes and leave you with a lasting impression. Free with Zoo admission.

November 14 & 15
Do you have the patience and skill required to practice the art of bonsai? Find out if your green thumb has what it takes during Bonsai Weekened hosted by the Bonsai Society of Brevard. The event, located in the Nyami Nyami River Lodge, will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and features more than 50 incredible trees as well as demonstrations on how to care for bonsai. Vendors will be on site selling bonsai trees and bonsai-related materials. The exhibit is free with Zoo admission.
All December long
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Join us for a month filled with fun for the whole family.
Bring the entire family and watch as zookeepers give gifts (animal enrichments) to the animals from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Santa and Mrs. Claus are even going to make an appearance! Kids also get to enjoy games and crafts. All activities are free with Zoo admission.
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Ring in the New Year during our third annual Noon Year’s Eve Celebration. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids can make crafts and play games in Paws On and the Wildlife Detective Training Academy. For kids who might not be able to stay awake until midnight, join us at noon at the Paws On stage for a juice toast to ring in 2015 early. All activities are free with Zoo admission.
