Admission notes: This juvenile green sea turtle was brought to us by East Coast Biologists after being caught in their population studies on June 18. Upon intake, it was discovered that Blue has a chronic (what we believe to be) boat interaction on their carapace. It is a blunt depression fracture on the shell that is healing well but has lots of soft tissue that could easily be injured and expose the coelomic cavity and lungs. Over time, the soft tissue should turn into stronger scar tissue and this sea turtle will be released. Blue has a great spirit despite their injury and is very inquisitive, enjoys all enrichments and loves food!
