Have you ever wondered how we care for the animals who live in Expedition Africa? Come find out on this private behind–the-scenes experience where you will tour the area behind Expedition Africa before meeting one of our animal residents. This special adventure will be offered from Aug. 12-Sept. 26 on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays at 1 p.m. Please meet at the Linear Trail entrance at 12:50 pm. Each encounter lasts 50-60 minutes. Encounters are open to guests ages 7 and up; guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult. No more than four children ages 7-17 per tour. Only six spaces are available per tour. Closed-toed shoes required. No photography while on the tour. Tour subject to cancellation for weather. This experience does not include Zoo admission, which is not required to participate.
Please note:
The walking surface of the exterior route of this behind–the-scenes experience is composed of crushed stone, including gravel and sand. Parts of the route are compact and firm and other areas may be uneven with indentations. The interior route of the experience is a cement-paved walkway.
