Global warming is real and a threat to the world's animal population. The year 2004 was the fourth hottest on record, extending a trend since 1990. If we continue to emit greenhouse gases at our current pace, our earth's temperature is projected to skyrocket by as much as 10º F in the next 100 years.

Built By Volunteers

We need your help to stay strong!

Brevard Zoo welcomes you to take part in its Volunteer Programs. As a community zoo, we encourage public involvement designed to aid the zoo in all aspects of operation. Since the zoo is a non-profit organization, we are dependent upon and very grateful to our volunteers, who help with everything from special events to educational programs. We know that working directly with animals is not everyone's goal, so we have tailored programs that we feel will offer something for everyone.

Employee Volunteer Opportunities

The Brevard Zoo welcomes the opportunity to work with local businesses to plan an employee volunteer day. Whether it's landscaping, light maintenance, or cleaning storage units the volunteer experience is always more fun when it's done at the Zoo. To arrange a time for your employees to give back to the community by helping the Brevard Zoo, contact the Director of Volunteer Services at 321.254.9453, ext. 218 or mbowman@brevardzoo.org.

Volunteer Informational Sessions

Volunteer Informational Sessions are held the second Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. in the Education Building at the Zoo. This information session is the first step into joining the volunteer program and each session lasts about 2 hours.
